    • Complete inspection of A/C system. Evacuate system, replace schrader valves where applicable and recharge with A/C Leak detection dye and up to 1 lb of R134A refrigerant. Recheck for leaks after charging. *Additional R134 refrigerant billed at $2 per ounce.
    • Tech verified customer complaint of the A/C system not blowing cold. Tech connected A/C machine and recovered 0.52 Lbs of R-134A. Tech replaced both schraeder valves and added leak detection dye to the A/C system. Tech recharged A/C system and ran A/C for 30 minutes. Tech checked for leaks with U/V light and found no leaks at this time and A/C was blowing 35.1 Degrees. Tech turned vehicle off and used the sniffer to check for leaks and found no leaks at this time.
    • Drain and refill. Replace oil filter.
    • Tech removed and replaced the center support bearing for the driveline.
    • REPLACED BOTH FRONT SHOCKS AND VERIFIED
    • Tech performed driveline service.
    • Flush entire cooling system with flush machine, Valvoline Cleaner and conditioner. Fill system to required amount with new coolant.
    • Brake fluid dirty and contaminated. Flush brake system and fill with up to 1 Qt of new, clean brake fluid. Bleed system.

    • PERFORMED ROAD TEST TO VERIFY CUSTOMERS CONCERN OF GRINDING NOISE ON ACCELERATION. TECH CONFIRMED THE CONCERN AND NOTATES THAT THIS VEHICLE AT THIS TIME IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE ON THE ROAD AS IT CAN LOCK UP THE FRONT AXLES AND CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND/OR PERSONS. PUT VEHICLE IN THE AIR AND HAD SECOND TECHNICIAN OPERATE THE ACCELERATOR AND TRANSMISSION WHILE TECHNICIANS UNDERNEATH EXAMINED CAUSE OF NOISE AND IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FRONT POWER TRANSFER UNIT HAS INTERNALLY FAILED AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE ARE SIGNS THAT THE PTU SHAFT HAS BEEN LEAKING AND THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH SUFFICIENT LUBRICATION CAUSING PREMATURE COMPONENT FAILURE. TO PINPOINT THE EXACT REASON UNIT FAILED, THE UNIT ITSELF WOULD HAVE TO BE DISASSEMBLED. RECOMMEND REPLACING FRONT POWER TRANSFER UNIT AND REQUIRED HARDWARE AND REASSESS AFTER REPAIRS ARE MADE. CONFIRMED CUSTOMER CONCERN OF GRINDING NOISES FROM FRONT END. UPDATE: REMOVED OLD PTU, FILLED NEW PTU WITH FLUID AND INSTALLED PTU. TEST DROVE VEHICLE; CONCERN AND NOISES ARE NO LONGER PRESENT.
    • Tech removed old PTU and replaced it with a new factory PTU and added correct level of fluid. Tech test drove vehicle and there is no longer a noise and the wheels don't act like they want to lock up anymore.

    • Customer states there is black fluid dripping in the driveway and there is black residue under the vehicle near the transmission. Inspected leak and traced source to transfer case. Recommend replacing transmission input shaft seal with axle seals and other necessary gaskets. Customer did not authorize at this time. Tech topped off gear oil in transfer case to correct level.

    • Customer requests check spark plugs based on mileage and new vehicle. Tech inspected spark plugs on inspection and found plugs beginning to show wear. Recommend spark plugs based on mileage and condition. Customer authorized. Removed and replaced spark plugs with OEM Motorcraft spark plugs.
    • SPARK PLUGS – Remove & Replace – Normally Aspirated
    • Customer states vehicle has a lag/jerk when coming from a stop. Requests check transmission for services. Tech test drove vehicle and was unable to duplicate condition or concern. Tech inspected transmission fluid and found fluid is dirty. Recommend drain and refill service. Customer authorized. Drained fluid and refilled to correct level with new, clean Ford OEM Fluid for Dual Clutch transmission. Test drove vehicle and verified all operations performing as designed at this time.
    • AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID – Drain & Refill – Trans Mfr CD DPS6
    • Clean build-up from throttle body and idle air control motor where applicable. De-carbon intake system and combustion chambers. Add long term fuel system treatment to tank.
    • Isolate injector rail from fuel system. Chemical flush all injectors with Valvoline professional-grade injector cleaner.
    • Brake fluid dirty and contaminated. Flush brake system and fill with up to 1 Qt of new, clean brake fluid. Bleed system.

    • Customerr states vehicle has a Check Engine Light. Tech recovered DTC P0300 and P0303 for a misifre. Tech moved Cylinder 3 plug to Cylinder 2, and moved Cylinder 3 Ignition Coil to Cylinder 1. Misfire stayed at Cylinder 3. Monitored Cylinder contribution and misfire and found Cylinder 3 not within appropriate values. Swapped Cylinder 3 Injector with Cylinder 2 and misfire followed. Recommend replacing one or all fuel injectors. If only one injector, flush remaining injectors. Customer authorized only one injector replacement and fuel injector flush. Tech replaced Original Cylinder 3's fuel injector and performed Fuel Injector Flush. Cleared DTCs and test drove vehicle to verify no codes have returned at this time and misfire has gone away.
    • FUEL INJECTOR – Remove & Replace – V8 One
    • Isolate injector rail from fuel system. Chemical flush all injectors with Valvoline professional-grade injector cleaner.
    • On inspection, tech noted vehicle pulls to the right. Recommend alignment. Customer authorized. Performed Alignment under sublet through Big O Tires. Tire shop noted front tires are larger than rears.
    • Tech recommends tire replacement soon. Passenger rear tire is leaking and walls are extremely cracked. Tire shop also noted front tires are larger than rears. Customer states tires are due to be replaced anyways.

    • Customer states vehicle has lost communication with instrument cluster and speedometer is intermittently inop. Customer also experienced loss of power – Vehicle goes into limp mode and won't go over 35mph estimated. Also has high RPMS. Tech recovered DTCs P0720: Output shaft & P0722: Speed Sensor Circuit. Tech found lost communication with wheel speed sensors. TSB 16-0008 recommends checking transmission internal main frame wiring for faults and replacing based on DTCs and symptoms. Tech checked lead frame and verified internal failure/short. Trans wiring lost communication with speed sensors causing limp mode and lost comms with speedometer and instrument cluster. Recommend replacement. Customer authorized. Removed transmission pan and valve body for access to lead frame. Removed and replaced wiring with Ford OEM Replacement part. Re-installed valve body. Replaced transmission filter while access is granted and resealed pan with new fluid. Cleared DTCs and test drove vehicle to verify correct operation. Instrument cluster working properly, vehicle can reach high speeds, and no Check Engine Light is on. All monitors have been set.
    • MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY (TRANS LEAD FRAME) – Remove & Replace
    • Tech noted on test drive, oil pressure drops to low when idling or moving at low speeds. Tech found upon oil leaks, the oil pressure sensor is leaking. Recommend oil change and sensor replacement. Customer did not authorize repairs at this time.

    • Customer states vehicle would not start previously. Believed vehicle needed jump started but was making a scraping noise on start-up and when running. Tech inspected starting system and found starter not disengaging with engine running. Starter servo was beginning to eat into housing. Recommend replacement. Customer authorize. Remove and replace starter with new part. Tested and vehicle now starts quietly with no issues.
