  • Customer previously requested diagnosis for oil leak. Oil leak detection dye revealed oil leaking from timing cover. Reschedule for repairs. Customer request LOF during repair. Drain oil from system and removed components as needed for access including Valve Cover and Intake Manifold. During repair, tech noted front right motor mount has rusted bold and is difficult to remove. Mount bushings old and soft. Tech recommends replacement while access is available. Customer authorize. Removed motor mount. Removed timing cover and replaced gaskets. Re-sealed timing cover. Replaced old motor mount and re-installed valve cover and intake manifold with new gaskets. Filled system to correct level of oil and test drove vehicle to verify no further leaks can be detected at this time.
  • LOF service due. Drain and refill with new oil and replace oil filter.

  • Inspect vehicle and note body damage and lights operations (warning, indicator, exterior, interior). Test drive vehicle and check all systems including brakes, steering, engine performance, and account for visible leaks.
  • Customer states vehicle has coolant leak – Believes it is the water pump. Tech found DTC for thermostat. Pressure tested system to verify leak location and found thermostat housing leaking coolant. Water pump seems ok. Removed T-Stat housing and found that coolant had corroded tabs on housing that locked seal in place. Technician also found during visual inspection that there were 2 hose clamps that were loose. Recommended replacing T-Stat housing and clamps on hoses to address leaks. Customer authorize. Remove and replace housing assembly with thermostat and new seals. Replaced hose clamps and filled system to correct level of coolant. Cleared DTCs and test drove vehicle to verify no further coolant leaks and no overheating condition at this time. No DTCs returned.

  • Inspect vehicle and note body damage and lights operations (warning, indicator, exterior, interior). Test drive vehicle and check all systems including brakes, steering, engine performance, and account for visible leaks.
  • Vehicle has intermittent and random Check Engine Light. Customer states vehicle has DTC P0420. CEL was not on at time of drop off. Tech test drove vehicle, Check Engine Light came on during test drive but shut off before tech returned to the shop. Tech ran vehicle to warm up and monitored exhaust system. Tech found O2 sensors reporting the same – Downstream sensors need to be slower than Upstream sensor(s). Recommend starting with emissions service based on DTC and vehicle symptoms. Advise cust, if P0420 returns, further testing will be needed to determine failure of Cat/oxygen sensors and which ones need replaced. Front or Rear, B1 or B2. Customer authorize service. Performed emissions service and test drove vehicle. No CEL returned during test drive. Allowed vehicle full warm up and monitored O2 sensors for change. O2 sensors now reading properly and better than before. No further recommendations at this time.
  • Run professional grade emissions system cleaner and induction system kit through intake. Decarbon combustion chambers and intake valves. Clean and calibrate throttle body. Add oil treatment to engine oil and long term fuel system treatment to tank.

  • Dealership quoted customer Oil Pressure Sender. Tech recovered DTCs P0520: Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit and P219A: Air/Fuel Ratio Imbalance or possible Engine Oil Indicator/Gauge Sensor. Recommend replacing Oil Pressure Sender first and then re-checking. Customer authorize. Remove and replace Oil Pressure Sender and clear DTCs. Test drove vehicle to verify no CEL or codes have returned at this time and no further testing recommended.
  • Tech inspected vehicle and verified left side motor mount blown out and needs replaced – engine moving with acceleration/shifts. Customer authorize repair. Remove and replace motor mount with new part w/ anchor. Tested to verify mount holding properly and engine is no longer shifting around.
  • Customer was quoted for a motor mount and oil pressure sender at dealership. Verify concern and inspect vehicle. Plugs and all fluid are clean and newer. Recommend fuel services based on mileage. Cabin air filter dirty – Replace. Customer authorize. Tech noted oil leak but cannot determine source confidently. Added dye to oil and then re-check to verify leak location.
  • Clean build-up from throttle body and idle air control motor where applicable. De-carbon intake system and combustion chambers. Add long term fuel system treatment to tank.
  • Isolate injector rail from fuel system. Chemical flush all injectors with Valvoline professional-grade injector cleaner.

Checked system with sniffer and still could not find leaks. Recommend rechecking in April or May when A/C has been run thoroughly enough for dye to move through. Leak may be very small.

Test drive vehicle and check all systems including brakes, steering, engine performance, and account for visible leaks. Perform overall health report of vehicle.
  • Includes testing and inspection of electrical circuits and components as needed. Connect scan tool or other test equipment to determine cause of failure. Removal of components as needed for access.
  • Customer states vehicle has completely lost ability to move in reverse, and intermittently loses ability to drive forward or move at all. When moving, customer could feel vehicle slipping in gears. Vehicle towed to shop. Technician attempted to test drive vehicle to duplicate slipping. At a stop, vehicle lost ability to move forward. Towed back to shop. Technician checked for codes and found DTCs: P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P0336: Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Performance. P0573: Brake Switch Circuit 1 High V. P0700: Transmission Control Module Request MIL Illumination. P0716: Input turbine Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit. P0796: Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Performance Stuck/Off. Technician noted engine had momentary trouble starting and threw the aforementioned crank sensor codes, with no readings from the tachometer. Vehicle runs okay at this time but if issue persists/returns, further diagnosis may be required. Technician inspected transmission fluid and found fluid at correct level, but is extremely burnt and contaminated with metal debris from clutch. Tech noted transmission whining and grinding in gear. Recommend transmission replacement based on vehicle symptoms, codes, and condition of transmission. Warranty authorize partial coverage and supply used transmission with 12/12 warranty. Customer authorize repair. Remove failed transmission assembly and flush transmission oil cooler with cleaner/flush kit. Replaced all transmission lines and seals. Replaced cracked transmission dipstick tube. Installed used transmission. Replaced transmission oil filter and gasket with new GM parts. Filled system to correct level of new, clean fluid. Performed transmission relearn procedure with scan tool and test drive to verify all transmission operations normal and no codes returned.
  • TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY – Remove & Replace – Denali,AWD,6.2L Eng w/Skid Plate – [Includes: Remove & Replace Transmission Filter and Gasket]
  • Flush transmission oil cooler with flush and cleaning kit
  • Technician found transmission line(s) leaking. Technician recommend replacing all transmission lines to address leaks and protect trans. assembly replacement. Customer authorize repair. Replaced trans. lines with GM parts while failed transmission was removed.
  • Technician found oil cooler line and cooler adapter plate gasket leaking. Customer authorize replacement. Replaced oil cooler hose with GM kit (gasket, bolt/screw, and connector).
  • Technician found A/C Belt cracking – Recommend replacing both belts. Customer authorize. Remove alternator belt for access to A/C Belt. Replaced cracking belt and secondary belt with labor overlap.
  • Technician found on inspection coolant freezing temp. measuring at +10 degrees at best – Freeze protection insufficient. Recommend flushing cooling system and adding correct ratio of new clean coolant and water to protect from damage to engine. Customer authorize. Flush […]
