Our owner, Scott, opened Archer’s Auto Repair in November 2020.

Scott grew up in the Treasure Valley as a local. In his youth, Scott spent his free time fishing, hunting, and camping, when he wasn’t milking cows and doing general farm work at a local dairy on the border of Canyon and Ada County.

Scott was familiar with archery and automotive work from a young age, and these hobbies became lifelong passions. Hence, “Archer’s” Auto Repair.

Eventually, Scott worked his way into his career as a technician in the corporate dealership environment. Over the course of the next 20 years, Scott became an ASE Master Certified Technician specialized in rebuilding Mopar-type transmissions, as well as all other aspects of vehicle repairs and diagnosis procedures. Finally, at age 44, Scott realized his scruples didn’t agree with those of a large, multi-million dollar company. By this time, he found he had an opportunity to take his skills and serve his community in a more satisfying way. After so many years of being treated like a number and witnessing so much injustice for his clients and fellow employees, Scott left the corporate world and started his own business that would be founded with honesty and integrity, and a place where employees are treated well.

While it seemed out of his comfort zone, Scott decided his choice was worth it if it meant he could change lives for the better. In the very beginning, Archer’s Auto Repair was made up of Scott, and one other employee, a part-time office helper. Over time, Archer’s has built a solid reputation and the business has grown exponentially. Scott then realized he would need to begin building himself a strong, reliable team. He has since added 3 extremely knowledgeable and experienced technicians, a fantastic shop foreman, and 2 highly skilled and experienced service advisors. All of whom are as completely invested in the same guiding principles of honesty and integrity.

Since 2020, Scott himself has developed vital skills in being a shop owner, and a leader for his team, with consistent effort towards self-improvement and empowering others. During this time, he has learned and grown as an individual. After all, he finds it most rewarding to know what a difference he has made since he decided to take that leap of faith. Not only is he content in knowing our team of technicians and advisors are happy and living fulfilling lives, but our customers are happy enough to return and leave such raving reviews. Though it gets stressful as a small, local business owner, he can say with confidence that he is proud when others reach their own success. The Archer’s Team finds the most value in knowing our customers trust us, and have a reliable auto shop!
