- Inspect vehicle and note body damage and lights operations (warning, indicator, exterior, interior). Test drive vehicle and check all systems including brakes, steering, engine performance, and account for visible leaks.
- Customer states there is black fluid dripping in the driveway and there is black residue under the vehicle near the transmission. Inspected leak and traced source to transfer case. Recommend replacing transmission input shaft seal with axle seals and other necessary gaskets. Customer did not authorize at this time. Tech topped off gear oil in transfer case to correct level.
